Modern sports photography is filled with ultra sharp images, clods of dirt flying in the air, and players seemingly defying the laws of gravity. The approach Tabith Soren took to shooting baseball is a refreshing change from that. Don’t get me wrong – I love the amazing modern sports photography, but the charm of the film process that was prevalent in the early days of baseball is hard to resist.
To me, it brings the focus back on the emotion, on the individual rather than on the actual play.
